Taylor Swift To Support African Parks Foundation Through Video

Taylor Swift's new music video for her song "Wildest Dreams" is going to protect African wildlife through the African Parks Foundation.

The video, which has already received 23.8 million views on YouTube since its release on Aug. 30, has a plot where Swift, in the role of an actress filming on-location in Africa, gets embroiled in a steamy, yet ultimately hopeless affair with the film's co-star. It's not a happy ending.

Happier, though, will be the knowledge that the funds generated from the video will go towards the conservation group African Parks. An organization that works in countries such as Chad, Malawi, Congo and Zambia, African Parks pursue a broad range of activities to protect African wildlife and preserve its natural spaces. Some of the things African Parks does includes: repopulating parks with indigenous species, building infrastructure in and around parks, create law-enforcement programmes and assist in tourism and commercial operations.

"We are honoured that Taylor Swift is donating all proceeds from her newest video 'Wildest Dreams' to African Parks," the organization wrote on its official website.

"We thank her for shining a spotlight on Africa’s wildlife, and for helping us conserve and protect many of the world’s threatened species."
